Haryana is one of the simplest states to configure and one of the most expensive. One table covers every employment, every district and every establishment, so Gurugram and a village shop pay the same floor, and the notification says in terms that the figure cannot be split into allowances by the employer: it is the minimum basic wage. The figures carry paise, and payroll should carry them rather than round down. One provision catches employers out: trainees must be paid at least 75 per cent of the rate for their category, never below the unskilled rate, and the training period is capped at a year. The April 2026 notification was issued under the Code on Wages and reset the base, so the next dearness revision starts from these figures.
