Himachal Pradesh revises once a year from 1 April and notifies a single consolidated figure per category, with no separate dearness allowance. The monthly figure is the daily rate multiplied by 30, not 26 as in most states, so ₹425 a day is ₹12,750 a month. Where the employer provides food, tea or accommodation the notification allows a lower rate, ₹394 a day for unskilled work, and in the notified tribal areas the rates are 25 per cent higher. The April 2026 revision had not been notified by September 2026; the department instead published draft Code on Wages (Himachal Pradesh) Rules on 29 April 2026, and the 2025 rates remain payable until a new notification issues. When the revision comes it is likely to be backdated to 1 April 2026, so a provision for arrears is sensible.
