Revision cycle
VDA revised on 1 April and 1 October at ₹33.86 per CPI point above 443
Telangana's June 2026 order is the first full revision since the state inherited the Andhra Pradesh schedule at bifurcation, and it changes the structure as much as the figures. The designation-based tables are replaced by four skill categories applied uniformly across employments, three zones by type of local body replace the old two, and the floors are set as round monthly figures, from ₹14,000 in a gram panchayat to ₹20,000 for highly skilled work in Hyderabad. Unskilled work in Zone I went from about ₹12,600 to ₹16,000 in one step. The order fixes the rates on a CPI base of 443 points and provides for a VDA of ₹33.86 a month for every point above that, to be revised by the Commissioner of Labour on 1 April and 1 October; the first such adjustment is due on 1 October 2026 and will sit on top of the figures above. Employers with staff on the old designation-based scales need to map each role to a skill category.
